“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense”

“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”

I was searching for new clothing brands online when I found Alice’s Pig. The name and the logo were super cute, so I decided to browse their Fall 2013 collection, which comes from an “Alice in Wonderland” crazy vintage inspired world, where everyone is mad and everything is nonsense. I fell in love at first sight with so many garments, especially with the “Django” tartan skirt, the “Harlequin” dress, the “Husband’s” trousers, the “Granny” blouse and the “Urban Nightmare” dress – which is featured in this post. At the beginning I thought the dress was white or light baby blue, but it turned out to be mint green with pink jacquard dots. Definitely one of the cutest peter-pan-collar-peplum-pencil-dress I’ve ever seen! And I already had the perfect matching headband (very Alice and very Wonderland). I couldn’t ask for more!

I never read, I just look at pictures — Andy Warhol

Fashion Quotes #2: Stranger than Paradise by Tim Walker

Giorgio Armani blouse, skirt, and pants; Haider Ackermann dress; Ann Demeulemeester top; Cornelia James gloves; Prada gaiters and socks.

“I don't believe in originality. You take inspiration from whatever moves you and you find your voice in those things.”

“I don’t want to sound mystical but sometimes when you take a picture – when the sets are in place – then something takes over and leads you. It’s this sense of extraordinary luck and chance. The shoot is blessed and charmed, and you make pictures that you couldn’t in your wildest dreams have imagined. That is the magic of photography.”

“The point of fashion is that you take the picture you want. And fashion is the only photography that allows fantasy, and I’m a fantasist.”
